My name is Gabriela.

I have been teaching Spanish for the last 10 years. I am a Spanish native speaker (from Mexico). Having the opportunity to teach the language and share the Latin culture has been great. I have experience teaching kids and adults at all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I have a background in Psychology and Counseling, which helps me understand how the learning process works and helps me try different approaches to help my students succeed. I love to teach Spanish, it's fun, easy, and very useful, especially these days. I personally think that practice is the best way to improve when you are trying to learn a new language. I also know how hard it can be, but with practice, good material, and a good attitude anything is possible. I had the opportunity to live in different places with my family and we also like to travel. This is one of the reasons I know how important it is to speak multiple languages and Spanish is a great option because the language is continuously developing throughout the global culture.

I have experience in classroom teaching as part of the after school program for elementary schools. I also give tutoring to high school students at home and online as well as adults in companies, or individual learners.

I love to teach, and I think Spanish can be fun, easy, and satisfying. I also have experience teaching small kids, 2-4 years old, which is really fun. You can see how they discover new words, through songs, games, and fun material.

Teaching adults has to be very important in my teaching career, which is very gratifying, and sometimes can be challenging.

Teaching to all ages allows me to improve, to look for different approaches, different materials, and a diverse set of activities to make the class interesting and effective.

Online teaching can be convenient for the teacher and the students. There is more flexibility, access, and also gives a different approach to the teaching-learning process.

I always try to find the best fit for my students, according to their learning level, their availability, their interests, and their goals. The more you know your student, the easier it is going to be to have the correct material and the best teaching technique to work with each one. Teaching online is a very good way to reach more students. I personally think that practice is the key to success when you are learning something new, especially a language. If you have enough practice you can see results in a short time and that is very satisfying. It is important to not be afraid to talk or write, that is why it is necessary to use the correct tools and have a fun class but also a concrete, formal, and efficient approach. Determination, persistence, and patience are key to success.

I am always taking courses or classes to improve my teaching approach and techniques. I am always trying to go ahead and be prepared for the class, I encourage my students, to be proactive, to contribute to the learning process, and to achieve their goals.

Mi nombre es Gabriela, nací y crecí en Mexico y vivo actualmente en los Estados Unidos.

Actualmente me desempeño como maestra y tutora de español, desde hace 10 años he tenido la oportunidad de enseñar y compartir la lengua asi también como parte de las tradiciones y la cultura mexicana y de latinoamerica en general.

Tengo experiencia enseñando tanto a adultos como a niños y a jóvenes, a todos los niveles, desde básico hasta avanzado, con muy buenos resultados.

Me gusta mucho enseñar el idioma, porque es muy interesante, fácil de enseñar, y puedes conocer muchas personas y ayudarlos a tener éxito al aprender un idioma nuevo.

Personalmente se lo difícil que es aprender a hablar otro idioma. Yo aprendi inglés ya como adulto y creo que la práctica contínua asi como un buen tutor o maestro y por supuesto buen material puede ayudarte a convertirte en una persona bilingue.

Especialmente aprender español es muy importante en estos dias, no solo a nivel personal sino profesional tambien.

He tenido la oportunidad de vivir en diferentes lugares junto con mi familia y eso me ha ayudado a crecer personalmente y a entender diferentes culturas, por lo mismo es más fácil para mi entender los problemas o dificultades que puede tener una persona al intentar hablar en otro idioma que no domina.

Estudié Psicología en México, y tambien colaboro en un sitio de internet como consejera familiar.

Es por esto que la enseñanza en línea me parece excelente. Es conveniente para ambas partes y puedes conseguir concretar tus metas en menos tiempo y efctivamente.

He estado enseñando español por los últimos 10 años.

Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en una compañía, enseñando a sus ejecutivos a hablar y comunicarse efectivamente con sus clientes. Trabaje con 2 grupos de ejecutivos en sus oficinas por dos años, logrando una mejoría muy importante en su comunicación verbal y escrita.

Participé como Instructora de Idioma extranjero por 8 años en el distrito escolar, enseñando en 4 escuelas primarias, en donde participe en el programa de actividades que se ofrece despues del horario regular de clase. Mi tarea consistía en enseñar desde lo básico, como números, letras, colores, saludos, etc. a niños de 1o a 5o año, así tambien como canciones, manualidades y actividades que los ayudan a ir desenvolviéndose mejor en el idioma.

Asi mismo doy tutoria a alumnos de preparatoria o High School por las tardes, ayudándoles con tareas y a comprender mejor la gramática y ejercicios que les enseñan en clase.

También tengo experiencia enseñando a adultos de forma individual, trabajando con sus necesidades particulares, con la gran ventaja de conocerlos y de entender las metas y ayudarlos a lograrlo de forma efectiva en un corto o mediano plazo.

Me gusta enseñar las clases de acuerdo a las necesidades personales de cada alumno.

Me gusta conocer sus metas y lo que desean alcanzar y lograr al aprender o perfeccionar el idioma, de esa forma es más fácil hacerlo interesante para ellos y tambien buscar y utilizar material acorde tanto a la edad como a los gustos de cada uno, de forma que sea lo más didáctico posible y que se logre el objetivo principal que es hablar y comunicarse en un segundo idioma.

Personalmente creo que la práctica es la clave para tener éxito en el aprendizaje de una nueva lengua. Practicar lo más que se pueda, en clase, en casa, en su tiempo libre, tratar de involucrarse en medios en los que sea posible hablar, escuchar y leer el idioma, de esa forma se refuerza lo aprendido en clase y se avanza más rápido.

Mientras más práctica se tenga se tendrá mas confianza y se pierde el miedo a hablar. Por eso trato de que mis clases sean divertidas, sencillas pero al mismo tiempo concretas y eficaces para ir avanzando en cada lección que se tome.

Generalmente utilizo diversos materiales para apoyar la clase, acorde siempre al nivel que estoy enseñando y acoplarlo a las necesidades de mis estudiantes.

Lo importante es preparar la clase, tener un buen material, involucrar al alumno y de esa forma pueden ver resultados muy pronto.

Constancia y paciencia son muchas veces la clave.
