Hi everyone!

My name is Kristina, I am a 33 year old native Norwegian and I grew up in Norway, in Oslo. I studied Biochemistry in France and in Germany and now I am currently working in an international pharmaceutical company in Switzerland while living in the South of Germany. English is one of my native languages, the other one being Norwegian. I also speak German and French fluently, so if either of those languages is your mother tongue – let me know, then I will be able to make detailed explanations of more complex nature to you in your native language if needed.

In my spare time I enjoy reading books, watching series, learning Mandarin Chinese and spending time outside in the nature. I also really like different kinds of sports, especially ice skating and cross country skiing.

In the past 2 years I have been tutoring foreign students in English, German and French in the context of language exchange, and I have also provided coaching to Master students in job application and interview preparation. Because I have been working in an international company for 7 years now, I am used to adapting to different cultures and personalities.

I really know how challenging it might be to start learning a new language, so here on Verbalplanet I would like to help you as much as I can with your progress in English and also to keep your motivation up.

During the first lesson I will be able to evaluate your English proficiency and understand your goals and expectations. Then we move on with learning whatever is important to you at that moment, anything from reading texts and grammar training to conversational practice and pronunciation. The important thing for me is that you’re enjoying the lessons with me and that you feel at ease when practicing English. During our conversations we can talk about anything you like, from music, movies and sports to nature and traveling.

In any case I will adapt the lessons to your level and make sure you feel comfortable and progress steadily.
