Hello!!

My name is Anargyros and I come from Greece. I am a passionate language learner and a passionate teacher of Greek and English as foreign languages. Language learning and teaching are my inspiration.

At the moment, I can communicate in English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, and to some extent in Polish, Serbian and Romanian, while I am learning Chinese. My dream is to be able to converse in all the oral languages of the world. Apart from studying languages, I enjoy reading books (mainly novels and social anthropology), swimming (I do it in winter too), and theater (acting, rehearsing, spectating).

I am on verbalplanet since 2013, and I teach Greek and English as foreign languages, online, since 2011. Since 2019, I am Assistant Professor of Greek philology in Tianjin Foreign Studies University, China.

I am used to both formal and non-formal learning methodologies, I am experienced user of a variety of educative tools, and I am eager to apply any of them, depending on your needs and expectations. Nonetheless, I am a big fan of technology and I enjoy teaching using different software, such as subtitling editors, media players, office etc., and we will probably use them a lot.

I support the use of the target language as a medium for learning, but this is always subject to your needs and expectations. So, if your language or a third language (one I know :D) can help you, we will use it.

Personally, I find it crucial to start with the sounds of the language and the alphabet, since they are at the core of all oral languages. Then comes vocabulary and, at last but not least, grammar and syntax, which are the key to successful learning.

Με λένε Ανάργυρο και είμαι από την Ελλάδα. Οι γλώσσες είναι ένα από τα πάθη μου. Η διδασκαλία και η εκμάθηση ξένων γλωσσών αποτελεί πηγή έμπνευσης για μένα.

Για την ώρα, επικοινωνώ με ευχέρεια στα Αγγλικά, Πορτογαλικά, τα Ιταλικά, τα Ισπανικά, τα Γαλλικά, και σε μικρότερο βαθμό στα Πολωνικά, τα Σερβικά και τα Ρουμανικά, ενώ μαθαίνω Κινέζικα. Όνειρό μου είναι να επικοινωνώ (τουλάχιστον σε βασικό επίπεδο) σε όλες τις προφορικές γλώσσες του κόσμου.

Πέρα από τις γλώσσες, περνάω χρόνο διαβάζοντας (κυρίως λογοτεχνία και κοινωνική ανθρωπολογία), κολυμπώντας (και τον χειμώνα) και ασχολούμενος με το θέατρο (παίζοντας, δοκιμάζοντας, παρακολουθώντας).

Είμαι στο verbalplanet από το 2013, και γενικότερα διδάσκω την Ελληνική και την Αγγλική ως ξένες γλώσσες, διαδικτυακά, από το 2011. Από το 2019, διδάσκω Ελληνική φιλολογία στο Πανεπιστήμιο Ξένων Γλωσσών της Τιαντζίν, στην Κίνα.

Αυτά τα χρόνια γνώρισα κόσμο που θέλει να μάθει, να βελτιώσει ή να εξασκήσει τα Ελληνικά ή τα Αγγλικά του, και κόσμο που θέλει να μάθει ή να δουλέψει με τα αρχαία ή τα εκκλησιαστικά ελληνικά. Ανυπομονώ να γνωρίσω κι εσάς, και να σας βοηθήσω στην επίτευξη των στόχων σας.

Ωστόσο, είμαι μεγάλος φαν των νέων τεχνολογιών, οπότε, μάλλον, θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε αρκετά λογισμικά, όπως προγράμματα υποτιτλισμού, media players, office κλπ.

Υποστηρίζω τη χρήση της γλώσσας στόχου ως μέσου μάθησης, αλλά αυτό εναπόκειται πάντα στις ανάγκες και στις προσδοκίες σας. Αν η μητρική σας ή κάποια άλλη γλώσσα (που ξέρω :D) είναι χρήσιμη θα τη χρησιμοποιήσουμε.

Κατά τη γνώμη μου, είναι σημαντικό η εκμάθηση να ξεκινά από τους ήχους και το αλφάβητο, αφού αυτά είναι η βάση της γλώσσας. Μετά έρχεται το λεξιλόγιο, και τέλος η γραμματική και η σύνταξη, οι οποίες αποτελούν κλειδί για την επιτυχή εκμάθηση.

Chamo-me Anargyros e venho da Grécia. Sou apaixonado pelas línguas e gosto mesmo de aprender e ensinar. Neste momento estou a aprender coreano e turco, e posso comunicar em inglês, português, espanhol, italiano, francês, sérvio e romeno. É meu sonho poder comunicar em todas as línguas orais do mundo. A parte das línguas, gosto de ler livros (nomeadamente romances e antropologia social), nadar (também no inverno) e teatro (fazer, ensaiar, assistir).

Estou acostumado em usar várias metodologias de educação formal e não-formal, e tenho experiência de utilizar uma variedade de instrumentos pedagógicos, de quais vamos escolher aqueles que funcionam melhor com acordo com as vossas necessidades e objetivos de aprendizagem.

No entanto, sou fan das novas tecnologias e gosto de utilizar vários softwares, como editores de legendas, media players, office etc., e provavelmente vamos usá-los muito.

Para mim a utilização do grego como médio de instrução é muito importante, mas se for preciso podemos usar o português ou outro idioma (desses que falo :D)

Em termos de conteúdo, na minha opinião é fundamental começar com os sons e as letras do alfabeto, sendo a base do idioma. Depois, continuamos com vocabulário e ao fim, mas com a mesma importância, a gramática e a sintaxe, que são a chave para aprender mas sem ter de limitar o vosso tempo.

Mi chiamo Anargyros e vengo dalla Grecia. Sono appassionato con le lingue e ancora di più con insegnare greco come lingua straniera. Al momento, mi trovo a insegnare greco in una Università cinese e ad imparare cinese. Parlo varie lingue (inglese, portoghese, italiano, spagnolo, serbo) e sono stato buono docente per gli studenti di greco (soprattutto per portoghesi-e, brasiliani-e, serbi-e, afgani-e, coreani-e, cinesi-e, iracheni-e e iraniani-e). Se mi trovo da solo, nel mio tempo libero, mi piace leggere libri (soprattutto romanzi e antropologia sociale), nuotare (in inverno purre) e fare teatro.

In generale, preferisco usare il greco durante le lezioni, ma questo è sempre soggetto alle vostre esigenze e aspettative.
