TEFL qualified and have over 5 years of experience teaching English. I am beginner-friendly. I am a native English speaker, with a US accent, and I am also a fluent speaker in Afrikaans. Over the years I have seen my students grow their skills through our lessons together and it has been the core motivation for continuing my career as a Tutor on Verbalplanet.

Each lesson will be focused on your needs and what we can do to improve your skills and fluency. Building vocabulary is a very important step in becoming a fluent speaker. My lessons ensure that each time you have the opportunity to learn and use new words. If you want someone to talk to and practice conversation in English with, we can do that! These lessons will be focused more on fluency when speaking, pronunciation and building your vocabulary to make it easier to converse in English.
For grammar lessons, I will construct a long-term or short-term lesson plan based on your needs and goals. The important thing for me is to make sure that you feel satisfied, after each lesson and that you have learned something new, whether it be grammar, vocabulary or new phrases.
