Hi! I am a native Portuguese speaker.

I have been teaching English and Portuguese for over 25 years, mostly in Lisbon, but also in London and New York, from elementary to advanced, to young children, teenagers and adults, as well as for different purposes (academic, leisure, business…).

I have travelled extensively around the world and have a multicultural background. I enjoy experiencing life in different countries, reading, swimming, being outdoors and I'm quite interested in learning about holistic life styles.

I truly love sharing the Portuguese Language and Culture and it is my goal to get you to understand, speak and communicate in the Language of Fernando Pessoa, through the use of different IT tools, exercises and activities.

I can speak English, French, Spanish and German, apart from (European) Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

I have a degree in Modern Foreign Languages (English and German) and a Masters in Education (Personal and Social Development). I have also got two post-graduations, one in Sociology of Religions and another in IT tools for translation.

I am also a fully qualified teacher in the UK, holding a Qualified Teacher Status number.

I understand teaching as personalized process; therefore, your particular lessons will be tailored according to your needs. After an initial contact and diagnosis, we will agree (together) on the course of the learning programme that will best suit your aims.

Leciono Inglês e Português há mais de 25 anos, sobretudo em Lisboa, tendo também lecionado em Londres e em Nova Iorque, desde o nível de iniciação ao avançado, de crianças, a adolescentes e adultos, bem como para diversos propósitos (académico, recreativo, área de negócios…).

Viajei consideravelmente por vários cantos do mundo e possuo uma visão multicultural. Gosto de experienciar a vida noutros países, de ler, nadar, passear e interesso-me bastante em aprender sobre estilos de vida holísticos.

Adoro partilhar a Língua e Cultura Portuguesas e tenho como objetivo colocar-vos a perceber, falar e comunicar na Língua de Fernando Pessoa, através da utilização de diversas ferramentas TIC, da realização de exercícios e diferentes atividades.

Falo Inglês, Francês, Espanhol e Alemão, para além de Português Europeu e do Brazil.

Tenho uma licenciatura em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas (Inglês/Alemão) e um Mestrado em Educação (Desenvolvimento Pessoal e Social). Tenho igualmente duas pós-Graduações, uma em Sociologia das Religiões e outra em Tecnologias de Informação adaptadas à tradução.

Sou professora com grau reconhecido no sistema de ensino do Reino Unido, possuindo um número de Estatuto de Professora Qualificada.

Entendo o ensino como um processo personalizado; consequentemente, as suas aulas serão estruturadas de acordo com as suas necessidades. Após um primeiro contacto e diagnóstico iniciais, acordaremos (em conjunto) sobre o percurso do programa de aprendizagem que melhor se adapta aos seus objetivos.
